Mortal Kombat X Live-Action Tie-In Series Announced

Warner Bros. has announced a new live-action series related to Mortal Kombat that will be a tie-in to to the upcoming video game Mortal Kombat X.

While news is still scarce, Warner Bros. is teaming up with Blue Ribbon Content to produce the series in the form of short episodes. The tie-in series is also said to feature returning characters from the Mortal Kombat universe as well as new characters.

At the time of this writing no other specifics have been announced including confirmation on actors, writers, the director, or even a release date.

Mortal Kombat X, however, is still heading towards its April 14th, 2015 release date for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. The game will feature old returning characters and brand new ones to round things out.

A new feature being added to the title are the three different variations of fighting styles each character will have, which will allow gamers to choose which style they prefer for their character of choice.
