Mimimi Productions have announced via a tweet that development for the Xbox One version of The Last Tinker has stopped. This is due to poor sales of the PlayStation 4 version which released back in August. This is sad news for any Xbox One owners who were looking to play the vibrant and colourful platformer.
‘for now we’ve decided to stop working on the Xbox One version.’
Of course there is a possibility that production may start up again for an Xbox One version at a later date, but don’t get your hopes up. Sales were poor on the PlayStation 4 version and with the Xbox One having less systems sold than the PS4 at this time, sales are likely to be just as poor if a version ever was released on Xbox One.
The Last Tinker is a platformer released on Windows PC, Mac, Linux and PS4 in 2014. The game is inspired by ’90s platformers such as Banjo Kazooie. You play as a monkey named Koru and your objective is to reunite a bickering town. If you’re interested in The Last Tinker, you can read our review of the PS4 version by clicking this link.
