Blizzard’s widely popular and well received free-to-play trading card game, Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, has even more content in store for avid players of the game. How much? How does 100 new cards sound?
Read more details after the break.
Hearthstone: Over 100 New Cards
In an interview with Jason Chayes, Blizzard’s production director, it was revealed that following the completion of this year’s episodic release of the single-player expansion, Hearthstone: Curse of Naxxramas, the next expansion planned for the game will add over 100 new cards to the game.
Furthermore, Chayes mentioned that the next expansion’s content will be released periodically, in waves, rather than all at one time, to assist new Hearthstone players in firmly grasping the game’s quick pace, alongside its upcoming expansion’s content.
In regards to the new Hearthstone content (and the pacing of the game), Chayes had the following to say:
“One of the things that we spend a lot of time talking about is pacing. Not just the pacing of the game as it is, but pacing of the rollout of new content. We really want to make sure the pacing is great not just for seasoned Hearthstone players but for new players coming into the game too.”
Blizzard’s Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft is available on a variety of platforms, including PC, Ipad, Mac, and Windows 8. There are also plans of an Android and iPhone Hearthstone release later this year.
What are your thoughts on the upcoming expansion content (and 100 new cards) planned for Blizzard’s Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft? Are you a seasoned veteran of the game, or have you never given it a try?
