Kingdom Hearts III, the final chapter to the Dark Seeker saga, has been gathering interest for years. After all, this bittersweet conclusion will finally answer some puzzling questions left by the spin-offs and the main series. The second sequel, Kingdom Hearts II, was released nine years ago on the Playstation 2 in 2005. Although veterans and newcomers were expecting the next sequel to arrive on the next generation console (which would have been the PS3 at the time), these folks will be seeing the familiar faces on the Playstation 4 and XBox One. Basically, this announcement has confirmed that the beloved series had skipped a console (or not).
Unexpectedly and unannounced, a small symbol on the bottom page of the Kingdom Hearts III indicates a possible digital release. Here’s a better look at it instead of staring at the feature image:
Interested spectators could verify and interpret that this Playstation Network sign would definitely mean a digital release, but it could potentially be release for all three playstation platforms: PS4, PS3, and PSVita. Meaning, Square Enix could be potentially adding or implementing the “cross-save” feature as well. If so, that’s definitely a wow factor, especially for folks who own various handheld to system consoles! Though, we should arguable thank Square Enix for that, since the notorious developer has often released the KH spin-offs on other handheld consoles in the past.
Unfortunately, nothing has been said or set to stone about the digital releases or even the possibility of other gaming platforms. However, we should keep a closer eye on the developer. Many things have changed over the years, so we shouldn’t rule out the possibility of downloadable contents as well. For more information, please visit the official website (which is ironically and technically where the original source is).
[Note: PSN Logo doesn’t appear for Kingdom Hearts 2.5, but appears for Kingdom Hearts 1.5 on the website and artwork cover.]
