Earlier this month, GamerHeadlines reported on a method some gamers had been using to defeat Destiny‘s Vault of Glass’ final boss, Atheon, in less than two minutes:
“…what Destiny players want to do is send a player up along the side immediately after you enter Atheon’s room, and then gain his attention. Next, guide him around the archway. At that moment, Atheon will hopefully glitch out and stop attacking the players. Players can then team up on the boss, firing away with Supers until Atheon falls over the edge, ending the battle.”
However, according to Bungie’s latest weekly Destiny update, they will be fixing the aforementioned glitch, in addition to a few other changes.

Destiny‘s Atheon Glitch To Be Fixed
According to Bungie’s update, there will be bumpers placed in Destiny‘s Vault of Glass raid that will prevent the final boss from being knocked out of the environment, citing that the previously mentioned method of defeating Atheon is a bug that needs to be addressed as soon as possible.
In addition to implementing “baby bumpers” to keep Atheon from defeated by exploiting the popular glitch, Bungie is also making a couple of changes to the boss’ target selection method.
Bungie community manager, David “Deej” Dague, had the following to say on the upcoming changes to Destiny:
“The encounter goal for Atheon is to act as a climax and the culmination of learning for a given Raid group. Part of that is making sure that each player in your group can perform every job as required.”
“A change will take effect next week which fixes a bug with Atheon’s target selection. When using its Timestream ability, Atheon will select 3 players at random, instead of choosing the three players furthest from it.”
Bungie is changing a few other things in Destiny, such as “un-nerfing” the Vex Mythoclast – with Dague stating the following in regards to the situation:
“Our nerf was intended to target PvP play – where we felt and heard that Mythoclast was over-performing – but it also reduced its effectiveness in PvE. Our PvE nerf was stronger than we intended and we are going to fix it.”
