Publisher Activision and developer Sledgehammer Games have revealed the gameplay launch trailer for the eagerly awaited first-person shooter title Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
“To celebrate the impending arrival of the new era of Call of Duty, Activision and Sledgehammer Games have released the new Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Launch Gameplay Trailer, which showcases new footage from the singleplayer campaign and multiplayer,” said Scott Lowe, communications manager at Activision.
As Lowe mentioned in his blog post on Activision’s website, the trailer features segments from the single-player story, including appearances from Atlas CEO Jonathan Irons (Kevin Spacey) and Jack Mitchell (Troy Baker). Towards the end of the trailer, however, the focus is shifted on the multiplayer aspect of Advanced Warfare, with the exoskeleton, a primary mechanic integrated in this year’s instalment, demonstrating the different play styles that can be adopted in competitive matches.

Earlier this month, Activision confirmed that users who buy the digital version of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare for either Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 will have the option to upgrade to the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One version for free (with the offer lasting for a limited period of time, of course).
With this being the first title developed under Sledgehammer Games as part of Activision’s three-studio development cycle for their annualised Call of Duty franchise, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will launch worldwide on November 4th for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
