Personal computer users can download and play the beta version of Aesop Games’s Brunelleschi: Age of Architects; this innovative indie project focuses on a.) collecting experiences to increase the hero/heroine’s level, b.) gathering materials to construct massive buildings, c.) governing the empire or kingdom based on the online user’s preferences and strategies, and d.) inviting friends to speed up the process and participate in creating the ultimate utopia in record timing.
Although this massive multiplayer online/role-playing game is still in development, this unique concept still offers folks an opportunity to virtually invent their ideal government with like-minded individuals. If nagging and persuading friends have failed, the player can still solely operate the government until other online users decide to become a resident in the area. Of course, residents can also apply for citizenship and diplomatic positions within the nation to engage the political side of this social game. Despite the ability to run for office in various departments (education, defense, religion, etc.), each player must use their hero/heroine to accomplish tasks by spending action points.

When folks spend the action points, they tame animals, trade (with barbarians, whizards, fae, etc.), patrol the walls, gather food, etc. These options are limitless since the government can add more constructions that open more descriptive actions. For example, folks who purchase and build a “Fishery” will unlock the option of “Go Fishing”. As such, players will spend a decent time in performing actions.
Unfortunately, this project is far from being complete and need financial assistance. As such, interested spectators who like the idea can support their on-going campaign to earn their targeted goal of $300. While this might seem like a joke to individuals who constantly monitor this website, the developer has many stretch goals that involve $2,000 to $1,250,000. Besides the money going toward the game’s standard development (animations, sounds, graphics, etc), they also plan to spend the funding to acquire Unity 3D Assets. Here’s a screenshots to see what’s coming in the future.

Basically, players can roam around their govern area in a three-dimensional environment. Since this game is already free and available for members to join in this action, the completion for this video game will never end since the developers plan to continue to support and improve this online game for years.
“The beta version of Brunelleschi is available and free to play at brunegame.com, and we are committed to finishing the web version of the game regardless of the outcome of this campaign.”
