In a lengthy blog post explaining the secret to making a great sequel over on the PlayStation Blog, FuturLab, the developer behind PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita’s fast-paced Velocity 2X, has announced that a second DLC pack, titled Dual Core, will launch this afternoon on the PlayStation Store for $2.99 and is cross-buy for both platforms. You can check out the announcement video down below.
(WARNING: If you haven’t completed Velocity 2X’s Campaign, there are some slight spoilers from here on out.)
As you can see, the Dual Core pack will allow players to test their dual wielding ship skills in additional levels. However, we don’t know how many levels this add-on will bring or if it will add additional Trophies, but, if FuturLab is planning on doing the same thing as its Critical Urgency DLC Pack, which is also available for $2.99, the Dual Core pack should contain six new levels as well as six additional Trophies (1 Gold, 2 Silver, 3 Bronze).
Gamer Headlines reviewed Velocity 2X earlier this month and thought it was one of the best indie games ever made, praising it for its incredible sense of speed and addicting gameplay. You can check out our full review right here.
