In a recent interview, head of Kojima Productions Hideo Kojima discussed the potential for an episodic release to the upcoming horror title.
During a Konami showcase event at Tokyo Game Show earlier today, Hideo Kojima, developer of the upcoming Silent Hills, briefly discussed the possibility of releasing Silent Hills in an episodic format.
Specifically, Kojima mentioned that his development team at Kojima Productions have studied the format in which television programs are developed and released, and that a similar format could work for the gaming community. It should be noted that during the event no release information, including an episodic format, was confirmed by Kojima or Konami at this time.
With Resident Evil Revelations 2 recently announced as being episodic and, of course, Telltale Games having a large success with the episodic format, it doesn’t seem too far fetched for Silent Hills to follow a similar format.
For now, gamers can enjoy the brand new TGS trailer released for the upcoming title, and one of our very own staff members at Gamer Headlines wrote an interesting piece on Silent Hills’ playable teaser P.T.
At this time no release date or information on which consoles Silent Hills will be released on have been announced — although P.T. was released for the PlayStation 4.
