Saints Row 4 Re-Elected Encourages You To Swear

In an interview with Official Xbox Magazine, Volition’s Jim Boone stated that they’ve made use of the Kinect for Saints Row IV: Re-Elected to catch when you swear at the game, and your character will respond with a random taunt. So basically, Saints Row 4 Re-Elected encourages you to swear, which sounds just about right for a Saints Row game. From the OXM interview:

“We have the various taunts and things like that in Saints Row, so imagine the kinds of words that you could say that would help the player do taunts! Basically you have people standing there swearing at the TV, encouraging the player to do the various taunts.

“Or to maybe make the player lose all their clothes, or put them back on – lots of things like that. We’ve had lots of fun with voice commands that we feel like we can kinda get away with because it’s a Saints Row game.”

Imagine the process of getting your Xbox One to learn to recognize swear words, I’ll be the devs had a really fun day implementing that new feature. They have also implemented other more useful voice commands for the menu of the game, as well as controlling allies.
