The Evil Within, an upcoming survival horror title developed by Tango Gameworks, will be receiving ‘lock-in’ sessions taking place across GAME stores in the United Kingdom, allowing gamers an opportunity to gain a hands-on experience with the highly anticipated horror game before its release.
Running from September 11th to October 12th, GAME has confirmed that “48 GAME stores across the country” are hosting the event for The Evil Within, with participants registering for tickets on the title’s UK tour website and, most importantly, must be 18 or over to participate in the lock-in session.

Dates, times and the stores that will be running the event can be found on GAME’s official website.
“In addition to this, for those of you who come along to The Evil Within Lock-Ins you’ll be able to get £5 off the game when you preorder the game in-store,” reads the statement by GAME on the lock-in event page. “And if you want the complete The Evil Within experience, you’ll also be able to get 20% off The Evil Within Season Pass when you preorder both the game and the season pass at any GAME Lock-In event!”
Assuming the role of a police detective, Sebastian Castellanos, players will navigate their way through the latest horror title directed by the man behind Resident Evil and Resident Evil 4, Shinji Mikami.
Bethesda Softworks, publisher behind The Evil Within, announced earlier this week that the title’s release date for Europe had been moved from October 18th to October 14th, making it the same date that North America expected to receive the game. Further details on that change can be found at Gamer Headlines.
Running on a modified id Tech 5 engine, The Evil Within will launch in October 2014 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
