PopCap’s ridiculously addictive, kid and adult friendly shooter, Plants VS Zombies: Garden Warfare has a new and free update out today.
Legends of The Lawn gives players seven new playable characters, over 200 customization options, five support characters, and an additional game mode called Taco Bandits.
Taco Bandits puts the Plants VS Zombies spin on the age old multiplayer FPS mode, Capture the Flag. In Taco Bandits, Plant players are tasked with defending Crazy Dave’s tacos by using scout towers, turrets, soil bags, and other means of fortification. Zombie players can use sheer brute force to counteract the measures taken out by their plant rivals and capture the tacos.
As for the seven new characters, they are the Alien Flower, Centurion, Chomp Thing, Golf Star, Jade Cactus, Paleontologist, and Sanitation Expert. Golf Star is a Golf inspired take on the preexisting All-Star character, but with a focus on snipping. The Centurion character styles itself after the soldiers of ancient Rome. And the Paleontologist sports a crazy assortment of dinosaur bones over the traditional scientist lab-coat and goggles.
Amongst the new 200 plus customizations are featured sets such as The Farmer, and The Skunk. However even set pieces can be mixed and matched in order to further customize your character.
