Publisher Konami have confirmed they will be attending this year’s Play Expo in Manchester, England, with the latest instalment in the Pro Evolution Soccer franchise, PES 2015, available for a hands-on session at the event.

Konami representatives will be answering questions regarding the title at the now.play zone, whilst tournaments offering Konami-related prizes are to take place at the event for PES 2015.

Microsoft announced earlier this month a student ambassador programme in conjunction with UK universities, but it seems that Konami is implementing a similar scheme in the form of PES League University Championship, allowing UK students to become a PES ambassador and hosting events at their university. According to Konami, selected students will update results from each tournament to PES’ official website and, most importantly, prizes will be awarded in competitions.

Konami confirmed in August that FC Bayern München’s Mario Götze is the cover star of PES 2015, claiming their selection of the 22-year-old German international was based on his “pace, skill and moments of incredible brilliance that elevate modern football.” In the same month, Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 also beat its biggest competitor and rival, EA Sports’ FIFA 15, for ‘Best Sports Game’ at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany.

Further news is expected in the coming days for other Konami titles available on current-generation consoles at Play Expo, which Gamer Headlines will update when they are announced.

Running on Kojima Productions’ Fox Engine, PES 2015 is scheduled for release worldwide on November 13th for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC
