Rockstar Games have confirmed that a new update has arrived for Grand Theft Auto Online, which adds 16 new missions and conformation of a double RP weekend as an added bonus.

“As of today, we’ve added 16 additional new jobs to GTA Online,” reads the statement from Rockstar’s press release. “These include new scenarios for all three of the new VS Mission modes (Acquire Targets, Air Force Zero & G-Rating) that recently debuted as part of the San Andreas Flight School Update, plus a pair of new Contact Missions and a selection of new Air Races, Parachute Jumps and more.”

Running from September 2nd to September 7th, GTA Online users will receive double RP as part of a special playlist called New Flight School Jobs, and Rockstar added that gamers will now be able to unlock the ‘High Flyer’ Parachute Pack through this playlist if they missed out on their most recent event.

Two new contract missions — ‘Chop Chop’ and ‘Effin’ Lazers’ — are part of the update and require players to have reached Rank 43 or above to access them, with the jobs becoming available via a phone call once they’ve reached the right level.

Along with the confirmation of a double RP weekend and contract missions, Rockstar have announced the new races, parachute jumps and capture modes available online — with the ranks for each mode varying from 11 all the way up to 35 — including Airstrip (Rank 11, 1-8 players), Branching Out (Rank 20, 1-8 players), Flying Colors (Rank 12, 1-8 players), GTA: Wingmen (Rank 1, 2-8 players), High Dive (Rank 1, 1-8 players), In The Loop (Rank 35, 1-8 players) and Under the Bridge (Rank 11, 1-8 players).

Rockstar Games are preparing to release their upcoming remastered version of Grand Theft Auto V later this year on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, with it already confirmed that characters can be transferred from last-generation to current-generation consoles.
