Final Fantasy 4 is now available on Steam and it’s a port of the Android version

From today you’ll be able to get the legendary Final Fantasy 4 on Steam. Final Fantasy 4 (or 2 as it was titled on the SNES) is often looked at as one of the best games in the series and is available today for £10.99/€13.99.

Since the games release on the SNES, it has been ported to the DS and Android platforms, and its the Android version that’s been adapted for Steam. As such the Steam version features Optimised graphics, Steam Achievements and trading cards as well as Quicker Browsing through the bestiary and other game records and an opening video created by Visual Works.

For those of you who remember how difficult the game was on DS, may be happy to know that the game allow you to adjust the difficulty so anybody can play the game.

For those of you whose never played Final Fantasy 4, the game follows the Dark Knight Cecil, a knight in the Kingdom of Baron and Lord Captain of the Red Wings airship fleet.

After learning of the power of the 4 elemental crystals, the king of Baron sends his knights out to claim all the crystals by force. Due to the guilt of his actions Cecil defies his king and sets out on a path of redemption.

Final Fantasy 4 is a tale of redemption, regret, loss and loyalty. The games famous for its rich cast of party members who grow in character including Edge the prince of Eblan, Yang the parties monk and leader of the monks of Fabul , the parties white mage and love interest Rosa.
