FIFA 15 Luiz Suarez unavailable til October 26th

Keeping up with reality, Electronic Arts and EA Sports have made infamous Barcelona forward Luis Suarez unavailable in recently released FIFA 15‘s career mode until October 26th, coinciding with the footballer’s real-life FIFA suspension.

For those who are unfamiliar with Luis Suarez, he was banned from FIFA football (soccer for American readers) on June 26th for biting Italian player, Giorgio Chiellini, during this year’s World Cup.

His ban was set to last for 4 months, with the tail end extending past last week’s release of FIFA 15, which is why he is still unavailable in the game’s career mode.

FIFA 15 players who attempt to pick Luis Suarez in the game’s career mode brings up a message from his club’s chief executive, which can be seen below.

“Please be aware that Luis Suarez is serving a suspension and will not be available for selection until 26 October 2014.”

Suarez is only unavailable in the game’s career mode.

Normally, it is said that life imitates art. In FIFA 15‘s case, it seems that art is imitating life, however, for good reason. As previously mentioned, avid FIFA players who want to play (or bite) as Barcelona’s Luis Suarez must wait until his suspension ends on October 26th.

FIFA 15 has already released worldwide. The game is available on a variety of platforms including PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Wii, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows, IOS and Android. However, only the PS4, XBO, and PC versions will run on EA’s Ignite engine.
