One lucky individual has been fortunate enough to get his or her hands on a physical copy of the Xbox One version of Bungie’s highly anticipated game, Destiny. He or she has posted a trio of pictures on imgur.com showing off Destiny‘s physical game box.
Interestingly, the back of the Destiny case states that the game needs 40 GB of HDD space for the Xbox One. This is peculiar due to the fact that the Destiny pre-load only takes up approximately 19 GB, and physical versions of games tend to match their respective digital version.

A possible explanation for the additional 21 GB of space needed for Destiny is that the game will receive day-one patch.
Because Destiny is an online multiplayer game sure to receive massive downloadable content packs in the future, the memory that the game takes up will get significantly larger. This may pose a problem for Xbox One gamers who have a limited amount of space on their hard drive.
If you have a lot of video games, music, or movies taking up a large amount of space on your Xbox One, and you know you’re going to invest time and money into Destiny, now may be a good time to start saving up for an external hard drive.
Destiny is set to release next week for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4, with a release date of September 9th, 2014.
What are your thoughts on Destiny‘s massive 40 GB requirement? Do you have enough space, or will you have to purchase an external hard drive? Also, are you excited for Destiny‘s release? Let us know in the comments section below!
