Group C & D fight it out for a chance at the League of Legends World Championship today on Twitch

This year the League of Legends World Championship group stages are taking place in Singapore, and after some close and a couple of not so close matches from Group A and B. Today sees the start of the matches from Group C & D.

In group C the teams are the Fnatic, LMQ, OMG and Samsung Blue. Meanwhile Group D will see the teams of Alliance, Cloud 9, KaBuM e-Sports and NaJin White Shield fight it out.

The matches will last till September 28th and each team in the group has to fight 6 matches each. The stakes are high in these matches because only two of the four teams in each group will make it to the Knock-outs, which will run from October 3rd to October 19th in Busan, Korea.

The matches will run from 2am till 8am Pacific Time/ 11am -5pm Central European Time and you can watch them either on the Riot Games Twitch channel or on the League of Legends Esports website.

Last years League of Legends World Champion final took place in the Stamples Centre in America, where over 13,000 people attended the event, while over 32 million people watched online. The Championship was won by the SK Telecom T1 team but who will win this year?
