Watch Duel Mode Rotation in Warriors Orochi 3: Ultimate
Omega Force and Koei Tecmo have uploaded a new trailer for the anticipated Warriors Orochi 3: Ultimate; this crossover title will be featuring original and cooperated fighters (like Sophitia Alexandria from the Soul Caliber series) with brand new moves and modes. For starters, duel mode features three vs three team battles that include a card battle element to add more strategy into the gameplay. To see a visual demonstration, interested spectators can view this short video.
In this short footage, viewers can see that the player must select four cards (acquired by allies from the story mode) at the beginning. The chosen selection enables the controller to use the officer’s attacks and special bonuses against the opposing team in a small arena. Rather these enemies are controlled by another player or not, players can also challenge an artificial intelligence or an online opponent. If potential players are not interested in this combat, they should really checkout gauntlet mode.
Gauntlet differs in many ways. For one, the console owners must form a five member party and cross multiple stages that increases difficulty. Secondly, the selected characters must explore each stage by venturing across multiple battlefields to find the escape point while defeating foes and collecting perishable items. To keep things interesting, a gray fog conceals the overview map, which eventually recedes by exploring the areas.
With these new changes in this hack-and-slash title, fans of this series will enjoy this content even more with these tedious details. Additionally, these strategy components will also add more flares to traditional fights. This fighting project will arrive in North America on September 2, 2014 for the XBox One, PlayStation Vita, PS3, and PS4.
