From the gaming developer who brought Star Ocean series to life, Tri-Ace announced a brand new project called Judas Code. Unfortunately, this wonderful announcement was released to Japanese audiences, but this writer was able to interpret some important details. Before providing more information, English-speakers can still watch a promotional video that show a very short sample of the gameplay.
Because this brief footage doesn’t show enough scenes, interested players should know that this role-playing game revolves around the battlefield. Basically, the controlled characters will typically engage in combat with other soldiers. Besides using various weapons (assault rifle, sub-machine gun, handgun, rocket launcher, and more), players will need to use tactics and combinations on the field by taking cover, throwing a grenade, etc.
Beyond the combat situation, this new title also contains a card system and anime characters. These anime artworks include the main male protagonist with red hair. However, these static artworks drastically transform into three dimensional during the third-person battle scenes.
While this innovative but digital project will arrive for the PlayStation Vita at the PlayStation Network in Japan, North American and European audiences must wait for Tri-Ace’s confirmation for a western release outside the islands.
