Pokémon X & Y Fairy Garden Battle Competition Announced

Pokémon X & Y

Pokémon X & Y has received confirmation that a new battle competition will be taking place, with the latest tournament called Fairy Garden and available worldwide for users to participate in.

Running from September 26th to September 28th — as always, registration is required for any battle competition, with this one starting on September 18th and ending September 25th — Fairy Garden is a Single Battle tournament which allows you to use Pokémon from the National Pokédex in your team.

However, as the name suggests in the battle competition, Fairy-type Pokémon are only eligible to enter in the tournament, but Pokémon X & Y’s mascots — Xerneas and Yveltal — are not allowed to be included in a Trainers’ line-up.

Further sanctions for the competition include that Pokémon are set to Level 30 and those that were transferred from Generation V — specifically from Pokémon Black, White, Black 2 and White 2 — cannot be entered.

It wouldn’t be a battle competition if there wasn’t some form of an incentive included for participants, meaning that all Trainers will receive the standard 1000 Poké Miles for taking part in Fairy Garden.

Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, the remakes of the beloved Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, are the next instalments in the Pokémon franchise and are scheduled for release in November on Nintendo 3DS.
