Konami has revealed further details on the next instalment in its prestigious football franchise, Pro Evolution Soccer 2015, including the cover star of the title, content included and an official release date.

FC Bayern München’s Mario Götze is the cover star for PES 2015, with Konami explaining their decision based on the fact “that Mario Götze is the player that truly epitomizes the pace, skill and moments of incredible brilliance that elevate modern football.”

The 22-year-old attacking midfielder enjoyed a successful first season with Bayern München and played an even more crucial role for Germany during the 2014 World Cup, where he scored the winning goal in the final and helped his country lift its first World Cup since West Germany’s triumph in 1990.

“By looking at key facets of modern football, the PES Productions Team has completely reworked how the game performs key sections. The shooting and goal-keeping mechanics benefit from a new system that allows precise aim and control over a shot’s power and also unlimited shot styles,” reads the statement on Konami’s blog. “Similarly, the ‘keepers intuitively close angles and are capable of an amazing number of ways to react to any situation. Passing and the final ball to the front line has also been expanded, allowing for little knock-ons and powerful daisy-cutter passes that use new physics routines to ensure the ball realistically behaves as it would. Close control also steps up a gear, with the player governing both the positioning of a player, but with greater options of how to dribble into space or beat your marker.”

PES 2015 will be receiving improvements to the online multiplayer experience, including dedicated lobbies and rigid cheat measures put in place. Additionally, the title is trying to deliver the authentic football experience ahead of its biggest competitor, EA Sports’ FIFA 15, meaning PES 2015’s upgrades extend to accurate player stats and live updates weekly on DLC available.

Konami also revealed that a demo of the title will be heading to the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live on September 17th, allowing players to experience the changes made to this year’s football title.

Running on Kojima Productions’ Fox Engine, PES 2015 will be released worldwide on November 13th for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
