This week Atari has announced that a new Alone in the Dark game will see a release this year.
Atari has made the announcement that a new Alone in the Dark game titled Alone in the Dark: Illumination is in development. The team behind the development of the new entry in the horror series is named Pure, who will take over development of the horror franchise from Eden Games who were responsible for the previous entry in the series. The last title, simply named Alone in the Dark, was released in 2008 for numerous consoles and had reviews in the range of mixed to negative.
Alongside the announcement of the new game, Atari has also revealed that they will be showing off Alone in the Dark: Illumination at the upcoming PAX Prime conference later this month, though the demo is said to be shown behind closed doors. Alone in the Dark: Illumination will be released Fall 2014 and, at the moment, has only been confirmed for PC users.
