Legend of Zelda in Mario Kart 8 DLC

by GH Staff

The Nintendo UK store was updated today with news that a pretty massive set of DLC for Mario Kart 8 will be hitting consoles sometime November 2014 and May 2015.
The DLC will be split into two packs with different release dates. Pack number 1 is scheduled to come out this November and includes Tanooki Mario, Cat Peach and Link along with 4 new vehicles and 8 courses. The second pack comes out in May of next year and gives buyers Villager and Isabelle from Animal Crossing, Dry Bowser, 4 vehicles and 8 courses.

The courses come in the form of two new cups per pack with four courses each including Wario’s Gold Mine and some Legend of Zelda and Animal Crossing themed tracks.  The addition of these 16 new tracks doubles the total course availability meaning plenty of fresh new experiences.
As an added bonus, those who purchase both packs either together or separately will be given 8 color variations for both Yoshi and Shy Guy.
On the UK site the DLC is currently priced at £7 which is roughly $12. Not too bad when you think of the amount you’re getting. If you’d like to check the page out for yourself click here!
