Over the past week, the internet has been abuzz with rumours of a PC version of the upcoming Halo: Master Chief Collection, following a ‘leaked’ listing on Amazon posted by sharp eyed posters on NeoGAF. Today Aaron Greenberg, Microsoft Studios Global Product Marketing manager, stepped up on twitter sadly explaining that it was just a mistake made by retailers.
I was told that was just an error at retail. Sorry for any confusion that caused.
Not to waste a change in the spotlight, Greenberg also mentioned that he’s enjoying his stay in London, visiting famous Microsoft owned studios such as Lionhead Studios and Rare, assuring Xbox fans that they have “numerous” unannounced games in the works.
Great to be in the UK, spending the week visiting and meeting with our studios here.
Yep, in the UK to visit our London Studios teams, Lionhead, Rare, etc.
Always new stuff to see, a lot of great teams here working on numerous projects.
Bad news for PC gamers, it looks like that we’re back to square one with seeing any Halo games past the first 2 on anything other than a Microsoft console. For people invested into the Xbox ecosystem though, it looks like you have something to look forward to from the upcoming Gamescom convention.
