Fable Legends at Gamescom: Beta Signup Now Available

by GH Staff

Announced just last year at Gamescom, Fable Legends is now readily accepting people to sign up for the beta. The beta, which is being advertised as a “Multiplayer Beta” is set to be available for play on October 16, 2014. Lionhead Studios, the team responsible for creating the Fable franchise, officially announced yesterday that they will be attending Gamescom and not only that, they announced that the would be unveiling a brand new Hero as well as giving people the chance to give them a test run. Sure enough, they did just that. Unveiling the new character, Glory.

Daughter of a rich merchant, Glory grew up in luxury. If she wanted something all she had to do was smile, and Glory was very, very good at smiling. In fact Glory was very, very good at most things. The most Fable Legends Gloryintelligent, charming and accomplished girl in the town, she was, of course, loved by the ‘simple’ folk that lived there. The townsfolk made way for her when she went out into the town, they bowed, they scraped and they gave her tokens of admiration. Life was as wonderful as her skills and beauty deserved. . . At least so Glory believed.

On top of the unveiling of Glory and the announcement that people can now sign up for the closed beta, Lionhead previewed a new trailer for Fable Legends.

The Fable series has always been a strong blend of action, adventure and humor, and it’s clearly shown in the trailer that Fable Legends is looking to continue on that style. The game, which will be released for the Xbox One, takes place in Albion, and gives the players the chance to enroll in an epic adventure where they can either play as a noble hero, or take the path of darkness and be the villain. It’s entirely up to the player and both paths allow for different play styles. Having been a big fan of the Fable series, I’m greatly looking forward to further details on Fable Legends and when they’re available, you can be sure that Gamer Headlines will be keeping you informed.

If you wish to sign up for the beta, then head on over to the official Fable Legends website.
