According to a recent report, the director for the upcoming Dead Rising movie may have been selected.
Earlier today, the Wrap has posted a report announcing the director who may have been selected to go behind the lens for the forthcoming Dead Rising film. The report states that Leprechaun: Origins director Zach Lipovsky has just signed up to direct the Dead Rising movie for Legendary Entertainment. The film will be the first release from Legendary Digital Media and will be distributed by Crackle for it’s exclusive digital release in the United States. The film has Lorenzo di Bonaventura — better know for his work as a producer for the Transformers movie series — as an executive producer and was written by Tim Carter — who was a producer on the Mortal Kombat: Legacy series.
While no release date or starting date on filming has been announced yet, there is a chance that the production could begin much sooner if Lipovsky is truly signed on to direct the film.
