According to Ubisoft, the release of their highly anticipated, next-gen entry into the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Assassin’s Creed Unity, will be delayed by two weeks. The game is now slated to release on November 11th in North America, and November 13th in Europe. The game was previously slated to release on October 28th.
Assassin’s Creed Unity Delayed
Ubisoft’s upcoming last-generation game, Assassin’s Creed Rogue, also releases on the 11th of November, so both current and last-gen Assassin’s Creed titles will release on the same day. However, in Europe, Rogue‘s release date has also been pushed back to November 13th.
Assassin’s Creed Unity‘s producer, Vincent Bontbriand, said the following:
“As we got close to the finish, we realized we were near the target, but still needed a bit more time to hone some of the details to make sure Assassin’s Creed Unity is exceptional. We sincerely appreciate players’ commitment to the game and their patience. It’s just a couple more weeks. And it’s going to be worth it.”
With this news, Assassin’s Creed Unity and Assassin’s Creed Rogue are now releasing on November 11th (NA) and November 13th (EU). Unity is coming out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, with Rogue on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
