The Blue Bombers returning to the Wii U eShop and his bringing the Battle Network
Maybe it’s because his coming to Smash but today on twitter Nintendo announced that the blue bombers returning to the Wii U eShop. Okay to be more precise Mega Man 5 & 6 along with Mega Man Battle Network 1 that’s coming to the eShop on the 24/07 or Thursday to me and you.
In Mega Man 5 Mega Man is forced to fight against his own brother called Proto Man after he kidnaps Dr. Light and leads an army of 8 Robot Master against the planet. Meanwhile in Mega Man 6 during the end of the first annual Robot Masters Tournament, a man called Mr X reprogrammed the contests other 8 Robot Masters and Mega Man is forced to fight them off.
Both games use the traditional Mega Man side scrolling style and keep the series famous difficulty but for beginners of the series Mega Man 6 is a good entry point. Mega Man gains more abilities for the player to experiment with including a jet suit which helps avoid those instant death pits.
The Mega Man Battle Network series on the other hand takes place in an alternative reality where instead of making robots mankind instead worked online networks. To navigate these networks people ‘jack’ into these networks and use NetNavis which are based around characters from the original Mega Man games. You play as Lan Hikari, a fifth grader and owner of the Mega Man NetNavis.
The game is a real-time tactical RPG where you use cards to select what attacks Mega Man uses on the games 6 by 6 battle grids while you move around to avoid attacks. What attacks you will use depends on what cards are in your deck which is completely customisable allowing you to build a deck to work with your play-style.
The Blue Bombers returning to the Wii U eShop on the 24/07 but there’s no word on if or when these games are coming to the 3DS. This is the second wave on Mega Man content released since his reveal for Super Smash Bros.
