It’s a Mad Mad Mad Max World

by GH Staff

Ever since it’s debut at the E3 2013 convention, gamers have been forced to eagerly wait with anticipation for the apocalypse. Well, the post-apocalypse, to be exact. A world shrouded in wastelands and ruled by the ruthless, where only the mad can survive in this game adaptation of the 70’s hit movie, Mad Max.

Take control of the main protagonist from the original franchise, Max, a battle-hardened road warrior with a shattered past that gave him the earned nickname Mad Max, in this open-world action adventure that takes both hand-to-hand fighting and vehicular combat to a whole new level of badass! Developed by Avalanche Studios  and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Inc. The game’s initial release was set back from 2014 to 2015 due to a number of issues that have been causing one delay after another.

However, the programmers behind the magic of bringing this all out mayhem to life have been working nonstop to deliver these latest in-game screenshots and the most recent trailer revealing the Magnum Opus, a new car that puts everything in Fast & Furious to shame and is not only the weapon of choice for Max, but also happens to be your best means of transportation. Just don’t drive for too long though, because gas is a rare resource in this beaten down world.

The plot centers around Max attempting to reclaim his infamous V8 Interceptor from the films that has been stolen by marauders, as he embarks on a perilous journey throughout this dangerous, desert-like world and joins forces with an ally named Chumbucket, an “idiot savant sidekick”.

Hardcore fans of the Mad Max comics and universe will be more than pleased to have an all new adventure game to play since the last one that came out in 1990 for the NES. Let’s just hope there won’t be too many more delays come 2015. Oh, and if you’re stoked to play this latest rendition of Mad Max, then you might also be interested to know that there is a movie set to be released at the same time, starring Tom Hardy as the crazed, anti-hero Max himself.
