Final Fantasy XIV Free Weekend Under Certain Conditions
In an attempt to rope in players who have maybe quit playing the game, Square Enix are offering a weekend of free gameplay within their MMORPG; Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. A substantial amount of new players have joined the game since the release of patch 2.3 – Defenders of Eorzea , which added new quests, items, and much more as well as numerous resolved issues.
However, it’s clear Square want existing players who haven’t been active in a considerable amount of time to get back into the world of Eorzea once again. There is a certain condition though; only those who have had inactive accounts during the campaign period are able to login for free from Friday 18 July until Monday 21 July. You must purchase the game in order to access the free weekend as well. All of the new content will be playable, perhaps giving previously vacant players a reason to get back into the game.
If you are unsure what status your account is currently in, Square encourages to check the Mog Station to see if you are eligible to take part in this one-off event. If you haven’t got the client yet, hit this link to grab it. Leave your thoughts on the new patch and Square’s plan to bring back players below.
