Don’t Starve, Klei Entertainments Rougelike Adventure Survival game has finally been given hope of the rumored multiplayer mode where friends can try and survive in the wilderness together.
Don’t Starve is a action-adventure video game with survival and roguelike elements, it was developed by an indie company called Klei Entertainment and was originally a PC Exclusive, it now has ports on Playstation 4 and proposed ports for Playstation Vita, iOS and Mobile Devices. Recently the game had received a large expansion DLC under the name of “Reign of Giants” which added more features and elements to the game, however the rumored multiplayer mode was still in the mist and unheard of.
Now however Klei Entertainment has posted a short tease of the multiplayer mode working on their official YouTube channel, showing users playing as “Ghosts” which can haunt key characters and become fully playable. all the original features and elements of the Single Player game appear to be present and working with the only new addition being a chat feature to talk between players, it is unknown yet as to whether this multiplayer mode will work with private games or a drop-in drop-out style.
Either way the already popular game looks to be breathing new life and giving even long-time veterans of the game and competitions another reason to start again, bare in mind that the footage shown is in a Prototype stage and may not even be considered an Alpha yet.
