Batman: Arkham Knight Script Leak A Fake?

WARNING! POTENTIAL PLOT SPOILERS BELOW. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!

So supposedly there was a script leak of Batman: Arkham Knight by someone who actually signed a non-disclosure agreement with Warner Bros. He then went on to break this agreement by spilling the beans of the game’s plot on 4chan.

But is this really a plot leak? Or a cry for attention? Let’s do a little investigation, “The World’s Greatest Detective” style.

If you head over to the Official Batman: Arkham Knight Facebook page, you’ll see something being talked about over there called Operation Saviour, which seems to be the Arkham Knight’s grand plan in the game. I’d imagine that this would be pretty tantalizing information to include in a plot leak. Except that it isn’t. Maybe Operation Saviour isn’t as big a plan as we’re led to believe from the Facebook post, but let’s assume that it is. The Arkham Knight seems to be pretty integral in the game’s storyline, so I’d guess that any “plan” that he cooks up would play an important role, hence its inevitable inclusion in a plot leak. So since it wasn’t, it makes me question the validity of this supposed plot leak even more. Let’s dig further, shall we?

The Arkham Knight’s identity is, so far, one of the best kept secrets of this latest Batman game to come out, so wouldn’t it make sense to leak at least a little information regarding the identity of this awesomely clad antagonist? According to the script leaked on 4chan, there is no Arkam Knight revelation. Now granted, maybe we really never DO get to see the face of the Arkham Knight. Maybe there’s some crazy plot twist the people over at Rocksteady are thinking up…like having the Knight be a Bruce Wayne clone! Yup, the leak says that the knight is a clone of Bruce Wayne created with an enhanced Titan formula by Doctor Amanda Walker. But is this true? Also, players get to play as Harley Quinn as a pre-order bonus yet there is no mention of her in the game at all. No mention of Two-Face either, even though he was in the game’s first trailer to come out.

So the conclusion that we’ve come to after dissecting the leaked information is that….well to be honest, I’m not really sure. So it’s up to your discretion. What do you think? Do you think the leaked plot is legit, or are there too many holes and questions unanswered for you to really buy it? Leave your comments down below and remember that Batman: Arkham Knight swoops into stores on January 2015, on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC consoles.
