Sid Shuman, senior manager of social media on the official Sony blog has revealed exclusive content coming to the PlayStation versions of Bungie’s upcoming title; Destiny. Said content includes some new maps, gear, weapons and ships, all of which are detailed below, and will be available on both PS3 and PS4.
Missions & Maps
Dust Palace Strike
A strike mission taking place in the Dust Palace, a combat zone featuring an ancient skyscraper laying beneath the dust and dunes of Mars. 3 players will have to take on Psion Flyers whilst tracking a Cabal extraction team.
Excodus Blue
A multiplayer map that works best with Control and Skirmish. This mid-sized arena takes place on a vacant vessel, encouraging intense multiplayer battles.
Gear
Manifold Seeker Armor
Exclusive to the Warlock class, this armor was specifically desgined to withstand the alien-species; Vex.
Vanir Armor
Exclusive to the Titan class, the Vanir armor is able to withstand anything the Cabal forces throw at it.
Argus Armor
Finally, the Hunter class will have access to Argus, an armor set which is durable in all environments, providing all round protection.
Weapons
Monte Carlo
A handcrafted assault rifle with the ability to cause massive damage up close and personal. Promising efficiency against practically anyone or anything that get’s in its way, the Monte Carlo is a weapon which shouldn’t ignored. Upgrades include increased hip fire effectiveness and quicker melee cool down waiting time.
Hawkmoon
Quite different from the Montre Carlo, the Hawkmmon is a sidearm that’s guaranteed to make each shot cause a considerable amount of damage. Upgrades include damage boosts.
Ships
Aurora Wake
“A hull lined with arcane instruments, crafted by a circle of Warlocks – gifting the ship with a preternatural sense for the strange.”
Crypt Hammer
“A deep-strike insertion variant, built to carry Guardians safely through contested space. Carries hardpoints once used to hold Suros TL-SEAD anti-radiation missiles.”
Outrageous Fortune
“A rugged, versatile explorer for those ready to gamble everything in search of ancient secrets and alien power.”
Destiny will hit shelves world wide September 9, 2014 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, and PS4. It is currently in public alpha testing, and has so far received generally positive feedback.
