Mortal Kombat X: "The Most Brutal Kombat Experience Ever"

As reported by TotalXbox on Tuesday, June 3, the latest addition to the Mortal Kombat franchise, the freshly announced Mortal Kombat X, is touted to be the “the most brutal Kombat experience ever,” according to Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

“Mortal Kombat X combines cinematic presentation with all new gameplay to deliver the most brutal Kombat experience ever, offering a new fully-connected experience that launches players into a persistent online contest where every fight matters in a global battle for supremacy,” Warner Bros. explained in a press release for the game’s announcement.

Additionally, the creative director for the game’s developer (NetherRealm Studios) Ed Boon has promised Mortal Kombat fans that the game will deliver everything that they can expect plus more.

“Mortal Kombat has always been about over-the-top, visceral fighting and with Mortal Kombat X we wanted to utilise the power of new-gen consoles to give players our most intense game yet,” Boon stated in the same press release. “The team has worked hard to make sure Mortal Kombat X delivers everything fans expect along with new characters, new game modes and an all new graphics engine.

According to TotalXbox, you’ll also be able to choose from multiple variations of each character, something that allegedly parallels with Ultra Street Fighter 4’s Edition Select Mode.

Mortal Combat X was announced on Monday, June 2, and it’s slated to release in 2015 for PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
