The Master Chief Collection Is Every Halo Fanatics Dream

While Halo 5 won’t be released until sometime in 2015, 343 Industries has given Halo fans something big that will hold them over until that time. Halo: The Master Chief Collection, is a single disc game that contains Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo 4. The game will have everything unlocked from the get-go, and players who love to hunt achievements will be happy to know that The Master Chief Collection will be packing a whopping 4000 Gamerscore points. Not only is it one giant collection of the Halo games, but Halo 2 has also been given the anniversary makeover. Not only has Halo 2 been given a next-gen upgrade, but the multiplayer will also come packaged with the game as well. Players will be able to enjoy all the maps from Halo 2, completely the same way as they were when Halo 2 was originally released in 2004. The Master Chief Collection is set to release on November 11, 2014.

The Master Chief Collection will also feature a live action series being produced by Ridley Scott, known as “Halo: Nightfall”. This is not to be confused with another live action Halo being created by Steven Spielberg. Nightfall is expected to air on a weekly basis beginning November 11. As of now there aren’t any details on how those who don’t purchase The Master Chief Collection will be able to access Nightfall. However, Bonnie Ross, general manager of 343 Industries, did confirm that Nightfall would lead into Halo 5: Guardians, so it’s safe to assume that Nightfall will eventually be made available to others at some point.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection will also feature access to the Halo 5 beta, although it hasn’t been said when that beta will be live. Ross stated that Halo has always been about telling Master Chief’s story, and this is something that will certainly expand with the various live action series as well as Halo 5. The Halo franchise has always been a major staple for Xbox and is certainly going to continue to play a major role for the Xbox One. Do you plan on picking up Halo: The Master Chief Collection?
