Forza Horizon 2 two different versions on Xbox 360 and Xbox One

Forza Horizon 2’s versions of the Xbox 360 and Xbox One share the same dream together but both are “different” games said the creative director Ralph Fulton.

“It’s based in the same world, it’s based on the same themes,” Fulton told Digital Spy. “Rather than thinking of them as the same game on different platforms, they are different games inspired by the same ideas.”

The Xbox One version of Forza Horizon 2 keeps the same engine from Forza Motorsport 5 which was the launch title for that console, meanwhile the Xbox 360 version still runs on the same engine of the original Forza Horizon game back two years ago in 2012. As for two different engines the different platforms are also getting developed by two teams, Playground games are developing the Xbox One and Sumo digital are developing the Xbox 360 version.

The difference in game play between the two Fulton said Forza horizon 2’s weather and Drivetar systems are only possible on Xbox One. “There are things we are doing in Forza Horizon 2 on Xbox One that honestly couldn’t be done on any other console,” he said.

Forza horizon 2 will not have micro transactions on Xbox 360 or the Xbox One, to start with. Forza horizon 2 releases September 30th
