Fallout 4, Where is it ?

For the past year the internet has buzzed about this game, we all know it’s coming and we all want it, but where is it? No official announcements, no solid leaks and no one from Bethesda making any moves. It is one of the most anticipated games in recent memory, Fallout 4. All information on the title are either hoaxes or turn out to be false, it’s a big conspiracy and while I enjoy watching the internet make a small whisper into hot news I think it’s time for Bethesda to make some of sort comment.

Something from them directly, something real. Like so many people I watched E3 2014 and while there were some great game announcements and remakes, I waited through each conference, listening and waiting for any sign of Bethesda. While I was disappointed to walk out with nothing, I realized that it was ok, sure E3 would have been the place to announce such a title, but does Bethesda really need E3 to announce Fallout 4? They could just release a screenshot and Tweet the release date and the internet and fans will eat it up just as much.

Two more big gaming spectacles are set to take place this year in Gamescon and Tokyo Game Show. It’s not entirely impossible that there could be some sort of an announcement at either convention although I highly doubt it. I believe that it’s more likely that Bethesda will make such an announcement on their own. Fallout 4 would without a doubt win Game of the Year, no matter the competition so why hold it off any longer than needed. Since the release of Fallout New Vegas in 2010 Bethesda  have focused their attention to their other award winning game Elder Scrolls V (Skyrim) and Elder Scrolls Online. While these have been great games I’m thinking it’s time for Fallout 4. Bethesda began development for Fallout 3 July 10th 2004 (10 years ago), a possible date to look out for as I know gaming developers like their numbers.

Todd Howard, the man behind Fallout 3 and numerous other titles says

“We don’t have a time frame for our next game announcement but I think it’s gonna be a while.”

Since then Mr. Howard has been quiet. Currently, Bethesda Studios are looking for a Game Programmer, Graphics Programmer, Level Designer, Quest Designer, User Interface designer, World Artist. I for one would love to know what the project is. The hype is as high as the demand, It’s incredibly difficult to think that Fallout 4 wouldn’t be in development. Ten years since the third installment and four years since the last game. It’s time for Fallout 4 and Bethesda to take center stage.
