Destiny Could Eventually Come To PC – A Heavy Point Of Discussion at Activision

by GH Staff

During an interview with Polygon at E3 2014 this past week, publishing CEO of Activision, Eric Hirshberg, said that while there wasn’t anything to announce regarding a PC version of Destiny at that time, the Bungie FPS would be a natural fit on PC.

The game, which is currently in alpha, is set for a beta in July and for release in September of this year and will be releasing on four platforms (PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360). Because of this, senior writer and community manager for Bungie, Eric Osborne, said, back in November, that a PC version would have to wait until after the release of the console versions, as putting it into development now would be “spreading the development team too thin.”

Going back to April of 2013, Lars Bakken from Bungie, the design lead on Destiny, said that there was a possibility of a PC version being released in the future. The next month Eric Osborne stated that should the SKU be released, the developer was looking into cross-platform saving.

Even though some may say that “could eventually” is like your mom saying “maybe someday,” what do you think will happen with Destiny on PC? Would you like to see it, or would you prefer it to be a console exclusive? Keep checking Gamer Headlines for the latest gaming news.
