During the Final Round VII fighting game tournament that took place this weekend, Capcom finally announced the 5th new character to join the roster of Ultra Street Fighter IV. The character is Decapre, one of M. Bison’s ‘Doll’ soldiers, who bears a resemblance to Cammy. Many had speculated that the character would be Decapre, amongst many rumors and leaks, and as it turns out they were all correct. Check out the new trailer below.
This latest iteration of the Street Fighter IV series is poised to be the most definitive version yet, retaining all the features of previous titles in the series and adding new mechanics such as a Double Ultra option and Red Focus attack. Recently, Capcom also announced that a Edition Select mode will be available, allowing players to pick whichever Street Fighter IV series version of a character they want. However, Edition Select is only available as an offline only mode, and it might not be standardized for tournaments either, so pro players can rest assured that it’s purely for fun. Ultra Street Fighter IV will be released in June as a DLC update to Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition, and as a standalone disc copy in August, for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
