When asked on Twitter about any new additional modes being added to Titanfall in the future, Respawn Entertainment founder Vince Zampella answered plainly: “Yes”. Respawn Entertainment has already confirmed that the game will be receiving 3 packs of DLC expansions which can be picked up for cheap with the season pass and now we know for certain that these will include new multiplayer modes.
Previously, it was hinted that future DLC may include interactions with the alien monsters revealed in the Titanfall art book, which can also be seen on one of the game’s maps. Alongside more modes, another highly requested addition to the game is private lobbies, which Respawn assured fans will be coming very soon. Features such as higher player counts or newer Titans would have to be treated with care as it may affect the overall balanced of the game.
Titanfall for Xbox 360 was recently delayed for another two weeks to April 8, in order to give Bluepoint Games more time, since they are handling that version specifically. Titanfall isn’t resting on its current success however, and EA has already secured the rights to a sequel, due to the success of the original. We’ve also recently learned that this sequel won’t be a Microsoft exclusive, but the team at Respawn haven’t commented on any details about this. Titanfall is available now for Xbox One and PC.
