Several teams from inFAMOUS: Second Son developer Sucker Punch have been traveling around the world presenting the latest gameplay demo with press and fans, and have today also released a video of a mission playthrough from that same demo.
InFAMOUS: Second Son, like in the previous games in the series, will allow you to use your powers however you see fit, be it for good or ill, and the game will develop and change around your choices, such as character relations, power development and the story itself. During this playthrough of the game, Delsin – the main character – has convinced Fetch Walker, a Conduit – someone who has similar abilities as to Delsin – who can also control neon, to help him silence a group of anti-Conduit protesters.
In the video, Delsin is shown as ruthlessly vaporizing protesters and armed assailants with explosive, yet colorful, results. It is touted that the faster you can annihilate your enemies, the sooner you can gain access to your strongest powers, and innocent bystanders aren’t excluded from the onslaught. However, if you choose to be more heroic, combat becomes less of a free-for-all and more about accuracy and precision, meaning you have to watch out where you use your abilities and who you use your abilities on. As typical of being the hero, your rewards come from helping civilians and capturing enemies alive more so than obliterating them.
InFAMOUS: Second Son allows you to put the choice in your hand, whether or not you want to be the hero or the ruthless killer. It’s up to you if you want to become the savior or to unleash your wrath upon all those before you. InFAMOUS: Second Son will be dropping worldwide on March 21, exclusively for PlayStation 4.
