Call of Duty: Ghosts Devastation Map Pack Announced, New Weapon Available
Following on from the news yesterday of a teaser trailer posted by Infinity Ward, briefly showing the new Ripper weapon, the company has now revealed the second map pack for Call of Duty: Ghosts – Devastation. The map pack will feature 4 new maps and another new Extinction episode. The maps are called: Ruins, Behemoth, Collision and Unearthed. The Unearthed map is a re-imagining of the ‘Dome’ map from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, given a complete visual overhaul as well as an interesting twist involving Extinction mode’s alien creatures. The trailer also highlights the features of the Ripper weapon, a hybrid SMG and Assault Rifle which can be transformed on the fly. While this weapon comes with the Devastation map pack, Xbox Season Pass holders can access the weapon right now, simply by checking in their weapons selection. The new Extinction episode is called ‘Mayday’, which continues the story of the previous episode of Call of Duty: Ghosts, Nightfall. This episode will feature the ability to enhance the special weapon in Extinction, take branching paths and fight a giant alien sea-monster. Check out the new trailer below.
Call of Duty: Ghosts’ Devastation map pack releases for Xbox Live on April 3 2014. The previous map pack, Onslaught, is available now across all platforms.
