After several rumors hinting at a new Batman Arkham game, a tweet by the Batman-Arkham Twitter page confirmed that indeed a new game is on its way. The game will be called Batman Arkham Knight and will be developed by Rocksteady. The Twitter page also confirms that this title will be the finale of the series, bringing back Scarecrow, Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn, who will be playable for the first time in exclusive challenge maps as a pre-order bonus. The game will be set in Gotham City, with a newly designed Batmobile that you’ll be able to drive around. Another tweet confirms that the game was initially spotted in a listing on GAME.co.uk’s website for a PS4 copy, which has recently been taken down. Finally, the Twitter page has posted the packshots for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC versions of the game, confirming it will be launching on all 3 of those platforms this year.

This will be the 4th title in the Batman Arkham series and from the descriptions thus far it might not be a prequel like Batman Arkham Origins was. This new game also seems to be developed by Rocksteady, who made Batman Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, instead of WB Games who made last year’s Batman Arkham Origins.
