On April 14 this year, Sony and Square Enix will be releasing Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn to PlayStation 4 consoles and are inviting fans to pre-order the game now to receive extra benefits.
With the beta starting on February 22nd, fans are anxiously counting down the days until they can migrate their PS3 accounts to their PS4 at no additional cost and play their favorite game on the PS4.
The doors will open to pre-orders this Monday, January 27 at popular gaming outlets and will also be releasing a Collector’s Edition version of the game.
The standard edition of the game costs $39.99 and the Collector’s Edition costs $79.99.
If you already own a copy of Final Fantasy XIV on another platform, you will be rewarded with a Fat Chocobo Mount and a Wind-up Moogle minion exclusive to the PlayStation 4 version of the game at no additional cost.
The Collector’s Edition is only available through Square Enix’s online store and comes packed with the following bonuses over the standard edition:
- A unique Collector’s Edition box designed by famous Japanese artist Yoshitaka Amano
- The Art of Eorzea: A Realm Reimagined book
- A bonus sound track named “The Sounds of Eorzea”
- A special movie content disc named “The Waning of the Sixth Sun”
- Art card set
- Final Fantasy XIV themed security token
- In-game exclusive items such as the Baby Behemoth minion, Wind-up Moogle minion, Helm of Light, Coeurl Mount, Behemoth Barding and Fat Chocobo Mount
