Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, a New Lord of the Rings Video Game
arner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced a new , officially titled . This will be a new third person action game placed in the world. Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor is developed by Monolith Productions studios (Blood series, No One Lives Forever, FEAR, Condemned), in collaboration with Middle-earth Enterprises, Peter Jackson and some artists from the Weta Workshop.

The story from the video game Middle-earth: Shadow Of Mordor revolves around Talion, a ranger that sees his family murdered in front of his eyes. Later however, he faces the same morbid fate, being killed during the night Sauron and his armies were returning to Mordor. Talion was brought back to life by a spirit of revenge. Thus, he becomes a Wraith, well “equipped” with all the Wraith skills.

Therefore, predictably and according to the narrative patterns of such a story, Talion dreams about revenge against those who were responsible for his suffering. He aims to punish the guilty and thus, he embarks on a personal mission that will eventually lead him to discovering the truth behind the Spirit that resurrected him and the origins of the famous Rings of Power.

The first trailer for the game was also released, you can enjoy it below:

Each enemy Talion will face in his quest will be unique, differentiated by personality, strengths or weaknesses. This system is called the Nemesis System and will allow the creation and development of special relationships with the monsters the hero encounters along his way. All these relationships will be shaped according to the decisions and the actions of the hero. The players will then be encouraged to “create” their own enemies, their own battles in a dynamic game play and game environment, able to adapt to each gamer’s personal style.

Middle-earth: Shadow Of Mordor will be released for all the main gaming platforms including PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. We expect to find more about the story, the development process and the official release date in the near future.
